Welcome
Welcome to the website for the Oasis Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church. I hope that as you browse through our site you will see that our youth group is a growing group that seeks to learn how God’s love applies to our everyday lives and how in turn we can show that love to the world. Feel free to check out our weekly activities, upcoming events, photo pages, and more. Come visit us anytime! If you have any questions feel free to use the contact page to get in touch with me.
Sincerely,

Nick Mielke
Director of Youth Ministries
Purpose Statement
As a youth group we seek to:
Offer God our lives through worship
Accept others through fellowship
Seek God through discipleship
Increase our faith through evangelism
Serve others through ministry
o·a·sis -
1. a small fertile or green area in a desert region, usually having a spring or well.
2. something serving as a refuge, relief, or pleasant change from what is usual, annoying, difficult, etc.
The Oasis Youth Ministry represents a place during the week (desert) that youth can go to in order to be refilled by God’s holy spirit. We all encounter tough times and ‘dry spells’ and to have this place of ‘refuge’ where you can be supported by your peers to learn and grow is what the goal of this youth ministry is.
